We wanted to make a BIG impact so decided to commission 30 GIANT birthday cards to be sent to the hospice from local schools, businesses and organisations to congratulate the charity on the mammoth anniversary.

But where do you display 30 giant birthday cards? On a huge mantle piece of course – for this we enlisted the help of our friends at English Heritage and Carlisle Castle, knowing it would make a fantastic (and newsworthy) photo op.

We engaged top local institutions, including Carlisle Cathedral, University of Cumbria, and Historic Quarter businesses, and provided a unique card design for participants to personalise. The campaign generated extensive local press coverage, produced shareable imagery for the charity and contributors, and strengthened community connections while keeping the hospice front of mind for fundraising events.
